Lords of Vlachold Unit Overview

by Marcus Geigrich Battleground: Fantasy Warfare has quite a few unique factions and the Lords of Vlachold are certainly a standout faction in that regard. The faction goes beyond a strict vampire theme into an overarching horror theme. The Vampire units are really just the top of the command hierarchy while the bulk of the army consists of the human Vlachold nationals with the occasional scary monster unit sprinkled in.  In fact, it is possible to play the faction without using any of the vampire units against certain opponents. This article is intended to be an introduction to the faction...

Mat and Scenic Set ups

We have added so many things to the RatMat Battle Mat and RatMat Scenics lines that I started playing around with some set ups. I can mix and match pieces to create so many different options now. And we keep adding more. But Why? I think I have said this so many times to people browing our booth, comments online, and jsut in my musings here, but with all the 3D printed options and pre-made resin and plastic scenics available, there was no low cost, easily transportable/storeable and versatile scenics out there. And let's not forget all the scratch-builders out there who sculpt, carve, assemble and scavenge such incredible displays. So why would we put out our scenic packs? There are several reasons. 1) First and foremost......

Our RPG Book Additions

Having been in lockdown/quarantine/social distancing for nearly a year now, I have found that I have been playing a LOT more tabletop role playing games (RPGs) online. At this point, I am the GM for 3 different games and play in another. And with so many games to keep track of, I was looking for resources that I could use to aid in maintaining the freshness of all these games. That has led to the Rattrap store stocking a lot more RPG material; from books to dice to dice trays to card decks. The two companies that I have added...
